The Lamido Foundation has successfully donated a newly constructed mosque to the Barhim community, officially named Masjid Jabir bn Abdullah, in honour of the noble Companion of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), Jabir ibn Abdullah (RA)—a renowned scholar of Hadith and a lifelong servant of Islam whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
Speaking at the handover, the Chairman and Founder of the Foundation, Hon. Jabiru Abdullahi Tsauri, CEO/National Coordinator, AUDA/NEPAD, described the project as an act of Ṣadaqah Jāriyah, guided by the Prophetic teaching that a believer’s good deeds continue after death through ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and righteous supplication. He added that the initiative was inspired by the exemplary, people-centered leadership of His Excellency, the Executive Governor.
The Chairman assured the community of continued support, including the provision of solar/inverter lighting, regular maintenance, painting, and carpeting of the mosque by the Foundation.
Earlier, Dr. Aminu Salisu Tsauri, speaking on behalf of the Foundation’s Management, highlighted its ongoing humanitarian interventions—feeding programmes, scholarships, water supply, support for orphans and vulnerable persons, and the construction of mosques and schools. He announced that the Foundation will handle the maintenance of the mosque, monthly allowances for the Imam and Ladan, and the sponsorship of Islamic teachers to teach Qur’an, Hadith, and other essential Islamic sciences.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mallam Mubarak and Dr. Anas Kabir Musawa expressed deep appreciation to the Foundation, describing the mosque as a centre for worship, learning, and community unity, and prayed for Allah’s continuous blessings upon the Chairman and the Foundation.
In a goodwill gesture, the community Imam, Mallam Hafis, was presented with sets of clothes and caps donated by the Chairman.
Masjid Jabir bn Abdullah stands as a symbol of faith, knowledge, and sustainable community service.
